This is not a one-person initiative. While founded and facilitated by Peter McGee, the program is guided by the LightYourBeacon Advisory Board - a group of experienced leaders, educators, and professionals who provide insight, accountability, and perspective.
Together, we ensure the program remains relevant, inclusive, and effective for the communities it serves.

About Peter McGee, Founder
"For over two decades, I’ve worked at the crossroads of business development, marketing, economic growth, and employment services - helping both individuals and organizations reach their full potential. My experience spans regional economic development, government-funded employment services, post-secondary education, and leadership roles in communications and marketing. Across every role, my focus has been clear: equipping people with the skills, confidence, and structure to succeed.
LightYourBeacon is the culmination of that journey. Inspired in part by my father’s regret of never pursuing his own business dream, I committed myself to ensuring others don’t share that same feeling. The program combines practical expertise with professional coaching to guide aspiring entrepreneurs and established professionals alike. I bring integrity, experience, and a proven track record to every partnership - providing the clarity and support needed to build businesses and legacies that last."
